Babek region, Nehram village farmer Yashar Bagirsoy rescinded his lawsuit against “Water Users” Union Chairperson Jamshid Hasanov. IRFS Nakhchivan Regional Correspondents were told this by Yashar Bagirsoy.

During the hearing Nehram village “Water Users” Union Chairperson promised that he will allow me to irrigate my cultivation fields, he will compensate me for the damages and he asked me not to demand for additional compensation. I agreed with him,” said Y.Bagirsoy.
Bagirsoy said that all his cultivation fields have been irrigated during several days and “Water Users” Union Chairperson Jamshid Hasanov already paid for the damages.
Farmers in Babek region, Nehram village faced problems with the irrigating of cultivation fields. Nehram village “Water Users” Chairperson uses water to irrigate his and other state officials` cultivation fields. Productivity in other farmers’ cultivation fields reduced because we were not allowed to use water in time. Farmers could not earn what they spent to plant these fields. Although 50 -60 gepik is considered enough to irrigate one hectare of cultivation field, 6 AZN is demanded for every hectare from farmers illegally. For this reason, Babek region, Nehram village resident, farmer Yashar Bagirsoy filed a lawsuit against “Water Users” Union Chairperson Hasanov Jamshid Khalil oglu on 24 august 2009.
